Hello everyone,
My name is Aliyu Yusuf, and I am from Nigeria, representing the Hausa language community. I am a software engineer, linguist, translator, proofreader, and community advocate with a strong interest in digital inclusion, open technology, and equitable access to knowledge. I also serve as the Co-Founder of the Arewa Empowerment and Cultural Renaissance Foundation (AECRF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underserved communities through education, digital literacy, youth development, women and children protection, cultural preservation, and humanitarian initiatives.
I am pleased to join this community and look forward to contributing my knowledge and practical experience to discussions on accessibility, multilingual support, user experience, and community-centered innovation. I believe collaborative open-source development can create more inclusive and effective digital public services, particularly for underserved and underrepresented communities across Africa. I am excited to learn from this community, share ideas, and contribute to improving the Simpler Grants platform for everyone.
